Забавно, но от Суды я хочу... Killer is dead 2 )))) Уж больно игра понравилась.

А я, напротив, после Killer is Dead всерьез задумался, уж не были ли понравившиеся мне в свое время Killer 7 и NMH точно таким же лютым говном. Ответа на данный вопрос я скорее всего не найду, поскольку переигрывать указанные шедевры желания никакого. Геймплей в Killer 7 доставляет физическую боль. Играя в NMH чувствуешь себя как будто на нелюбимую работу ходишь.

BY JONATHON DORNBUSH After teasing the project earlier this year, Nintendo and Suda51 have officially revealed No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again, coming to the Nintendo Switch exclusively in 2018.

Unveiled as part of today's Switch Nindies Showcase, Travis Strikes Again features the No More Heroes star being confronted in his trailer by TKTK, only to be pulled into the game he was playing — Hotline Miami.

A partnership between developer Grasshopper Manufacture and various indie developers will delve into six different games and beat their respective bosses.

Suda51 teased Travis' return — as wel las the game's subtitle — during the Switch reveal event earlier this year.

The original No More Heroes debuted in Japan a decade ago and in other territories in 2008. IGN gave the original game a 7.8 at the time, saying the action game had "one of the most stylistic and unique games in years." No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle came to the Wii in 2010.

Как я понял, в игре будет 6 мини-игр, каждая со своим боссом. Эти мини-игры разрабатываются различными инди-студиями. Пока известна только одна такая студия - шведская Dennaton Games, которая сделала две части Hotline Miami.

Вторая игра, в которую предстоит сразится Трэвису в фантомной консоле Death Drive MK-II будет проходить в мире Shovel Knight. Бывший гробовщик Суда51 показал майку с символикой лопатника на нинде стриме:

Ну как минимум уровня первых двух частей, как я понял. Не понимаю только как там эти 6 игр реализованы.

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes is a raucous 3D action title, where Travis touchdown wields the Beam Katana to massacre his way through countless enemies, taking on ferocious bosses in an epic battle with Badman. This marks the first time in ten years that SUDA51 has taken on the mantle of director.

Set in the remote countryside of the southern US, one year has passed since the events of No More Heroes. Badman has come to exact his revenge on Travis for the murder of his daughter, Badgirl. As the two foes are battling it out, they’re sucked inside the phantom game console ‘Death Drive MK-II’, a machine developed by Doctor Juvenile. It is said that whomever collects and beats all six of its games will have their wishes granted.

Ну как минимум уровня первых двух частей, как я понял. Не понимаю только как там эти 6 игр реализованы.

В игре будет 6 мини-игр, каждая со своим мини-боссом. Мини-игры разрабатываются различными инди-студиями (миры двух игр уже известны). Действие этих игр происходит в какой-то "фантомной" консоли.

Название этой части NMH Суда озвучил еще в январе, на презентации Свитча =))

Да это то понятно, я скорее про то, насколько эти мини игры большая часть самой игры и тд. Ну и если там сюжет о том как их двух засосало в консоль, то где они вообще дерутся со стандартным 3д геймплеем? Мне кажется, что надо было все же побольше сказать, а то некоторые вот вообще думают, что это тупо сборник инди игр))

Я вообще понял так, что там только 6 мини игр в стиле предыдущей части, но с элементами тех инди Либо нужны описания поточнее, либо дождаться геймплея.

- It's the first game Suda51 is directing in ten years since No More Heroes. He's gotten back on directing because he want to return to Grasshopper roots, when they had a much smaller scale, something more compact and having an impact on everything.

- The reason it's on Nintendo Switch is because Suda51 liked what he saw when it was still the NX, and in top of that, it was a matter of timing as Let it Die was released and there was that new hardware releasing soon.

- About why it's not called No More Heroes 3 : while it's still a sequel, it's not a "direct" one as it will be the start of a new adventure for Travis, something different from the previous games. That's why they put Travis Strikes Again as the main title.

- The main inspiration for the gimmick about visiting game worlds were Let it Die and the movie eXistenZ.

- Gameplay : sword-based action game, similar to the first two games, and while the concept and controls will stay the same amongst the six games Travis will visit, each of them will have its own vibe, will be different about how they look and feel.

- The collaboration with the indies aren't necessarily about the levels themselves (he was answering about if there was going to be a Shovel Knight level in the game) or the gameplay. What they wanted to show was that Travis is a hardcore gamer. So Travis won't necessarily play these indie games or fight the characters, but Travis will have different t-shirts featuring these games for example and Shovel Knight is one of them. However plans aren't concrete and there may be instances where Travis interact with the indie games, like Hotline Miami.

- The development team is much smaller this time compared to No More Heroes 2. He was asked about if the retro mini games from NMH2 would return, and he answered that he's not sure if they have the manpower to make them, because everyone concerned want to make new stuff for the game.

- They were successful in finding a lot of indie partners at PAX who were willing to do some collaborations. It helps that a lot of these people played past Suda51 games.

- Motion controls will be in the game, but the main feature is that you'll be able to play the whole game with one joy-con. That was decided very early in the development process to give the player a limited area of control.

- You'll be able to recharge the beam katana just like in the previous games, but the size has got a bit smaller (lol)

- One of the reason he decided to make the whole game playable with one joy-con is that he hopes Sakurai will finally let Travis join Smash Bros.

- He was asked if there could be co-op since you can play with only one joy-con, and answered that he can't talk about that secret yet.

- About what he plans for the future, he want to makes sure this time that Travis's story won't stop just with this title, to make Travis some sort of video games superstar. That's why they don't call it No More Heroes 3, because he want to start from here and expand the serie.

Ну так по описанию похоже, что под шестью мини-играми подразумевается как раз шесть эпизодов, в каждом из которых есть отсылки к одной из шести игр. А вот ретро-мини игр, как он говорит, вероятнее всего и не будет.

Эта игра не является полноценной частью No More Heroes. Но если данное поделие будет популярным, то 3-я часть NMH обязательно выйдет (когда-нибудь):

VGCC: How exactly does this tie into No More Heroes 2? Obviously a lot of time has passed and Travis’ situation has changed a lot, but you just said it’s not quite a direct sequel. Will Travis Strikes Again address what’s been going on with Travis since the events of No More Heroes 2 or will this be more of a self contained story?

S: Well again, it’s not a direct sequel to No More Heroes 2, though they are directly related and take place in the same universe. Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes takes place seven years after the events of No More Heroes 2. As you’ve probably noticed it’s “Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes”, so “No More Heroes” is more a subtitle, there’s not a number on it. This isn’t a direct sequel and it’s not No More Heroes 3, but it does address some of the things that happened in No More Heroes 1 and 2. While it is sort of a continuation of that stuff, it is not a direct sequel partially because No More Heroes is about one assassin against other assassins, and this isn’t like that. This isn’t exactly a spin-off, or something like that, and while it’s not a direct sequel it is something of a stepping stone on the road to No More Heroes 3. So the way I’d like people to think of this game is like the beginning of a new battle for Travis, a new series within the series.

VGCC: So then there are intentions to follow up with a numbered sequel to this then?
S: Yeah. If this succeeds I definitely want to put out a 3 someday.

Игра меньше чем первые две части. Над ней работает четыре месяца (всего то!) команда из 15 человек (примерно):

NWR: Regarding scope, do you see this as a smaller scale project or similar in size to previous No More Heroes games?

Suda51: As far as development goes, this is definitely a smaller-scale project than the previous games, as I’ve scaled back the team from, for example, the 40+ people who were working on Let it Die to a team of only about 15 people, give or take a few, for TSA. As far as the game itself is concerned, while I can’t really comment right now on future plans for the title or its own series, I do have hopes that it will become something larger than it seems now, and I’d like everyone to look forward to what we have coming up.

NWR: How long has Travis Strikes Again been in development?
Suda51: The game itself has been in development for just about four months at this point.
