The hard work has been done.
So why would Sony tell them no?
“I wish I had the answer to that,” Dunham said. “The only thing that we know is that we can’t do it yet. I can tell you this: From Psyonix, we would do whatever we would need to do to make it possible to be cross-network play with all the other platforms and PlayStation 4. They just need to tell us what that is.”
He’s hoping the PlayStation community is loud enough about wanting this to happen that Sony decides to let it happen. Cross-platform play, including the PlayStation 4, could happen today if Sony told them they could do it.
“It’s literally something we could do with a push of a button, metaphorically,” Dunham told Polygon. “In reality it’s a web page with a checkbox on it. All we have to do is check that box and it would be up and running in less than an hour all over the world. That’s all we need to do.”

Очень не плохая игра, надеюсь выстрелит. Ну и кроссплай это круто, так и до танков дойдет. 720p вполне достаточно для портатива, главное сплитскрин.

Не понимаю почему оно должно страшно выглядеть в портативном режиме, а не доке. 526p на 6.2 дюймовом явно будут смотреться лучше, чем 720p на хотя бы 32 дюймовом телике.

А я вам вчера чего в пример приводил? Это в доке или в портативе? Графон прямо как на 3DS, один в один =))) Зато 60 fps.

Насчет 3Ds ты сильно загнул, но игре явно не хватает сглаживания, в живую играется довольно приятно, мяч и игроков хорошо видно, так что игре это не мешает. Думаю проблема в хреновой оптимизации движка, UE4 и на PS4 выглядит так себе, стоит вспомнить Tekken 7, который идет в 720p, хотя казалось бы, чего сложного в файтинге? =)

Тут видно что хороший апскейл юзается, видимо игра рендерится в нативных 480p, а потом скейлится. Не пойму, что "тяжелого" в этой игре? Арена с несколькими машинками и мячик. Ну 60 кадров/c еще. Ну это же не Doom, не Zelda, не XC2?

Tips & Tricks для более стабильного фрэймрейта:

2. Disable Weather Effects Self-explanatory. Taking away weather effects gives the Switch one less thing to process during gameplay. The difference may be subtle but were frame chasin' here.
3. Disable Camera Shake Probably the least noticeable out of all the tips but I'd still disable this even if it made your frames worse. Lol jk, I personally don't use it but some people actually don't mind it, but from a stance of strictly performance, I would just imagine every time the the visual effect engages it puts a slight tax on performance during that moment, again we're nitpicking here.
4. Minimalistic Car Customizations The matte paint effect i one of the simplest, least reflective, and least graphic intensive paints you could probably use. Apply this same logic when customizing the rest of your car too, think less visual effects = less processing power, and simply less items = less power (perhaps skip the antennas and toppers altogether)
And that about wraps it up! If you guys have any additional tips to contribute feel free to in the comments. I will say by FAR the most dramatic improvement came from tip number 1. I was getting maybe a constant 20-25FPS to 50+ consistently once I set my camera settings back to default. Using these was an absolute game changer for me and I FINALLY can now relate when people say this is the true portable Rocket League port we've all been waiting for. Have fun.

Купил вчера, играл в доке и в портативе, выглядит терпимо, но заметно хуже Сплатуна, Зельды и Марио. Чем меньше игроков тем графика лучше, fps бывает при старте в портативе проседает. В матчах 3vs3 в портативе каша, но терпимая, не 3Ds.

Ни разу не было пока ухудшения графики в онлайне при игре в одного, да и вдвоём 1х1 всё нормально. А вот на сплит-скрине в режиме 3х3 почти постоянно каша из пикселей.

Скорее всего забыли добавить DOF и дроп до 360п. Странно, ведь это сейчас в тренде.
Купил ради хендхелда. Чет графоний и правда там жесть, в видосах этого совсем не видно. Особенно в начале самом. Там оно не сразу видимо подгружается полностью и поэтому первые несколько секунд хочется глаза себе выколоть. Но потом вроде получше становится и привыкаешь, играется все равно отлично. Но удивляешься все равно каждый раз, когда начинается матч. Там сказали, что игру и дальше оптимизировать будут, так вот, надеюсь, что визуальной части это тоже будет касаться. Может быть не так бы еще бросалось в глаза, если бы какое-то размытие было, но тут его нет, видишь каждый угол.

ну в начале текстуры подгружаются.. а так - да, есть уровни где прям совсем плохо на портативном режиме, текстуры страшные. у меня кстати при совместной игре с компом не работали скины - то есть марио-машинки на компе показывали как обычные ну и то, что нельзя совместно пати режим сделать и играть в онлайне - это жопа конечно

С разрешением не особо потрудились, по прежнему в некоторых картах адище, но одна какая-то выглядела прям хорошо. А вот с производительностью заметно лучше стало, пропали дропы редкие, которые раньше были, вроде как.

Классно, что даже на карике выходит, жаль порт получился сомнительного качества, не могу понять, почему многие его хвалят, а так же не понимаю, почему он такой, казалось бы игра с простой графикой и в ограниченном пространстве.

Трасса больше, плоская сетка по периметру, машинки с плоским корпусом, симметричные по горизонтали, что бы при переворачивании просто менялось управление, мачек нужно подбирать надувной, ближе к воздушному шарика с толстыми стенками.
Подскажите по кросплею, он только в приватных матчах есть?

3 апреля выходит крупный Tournament апдейт, и кроме всего прочего он будет содержать новые опции качества графики для Сыча. Если вас не напрягают 30 fps, то вы будете играть в честных 720p в портативе и 900p в доке. Также добавятся новые эффекты Lens Flares, Light Shafts, Dynamic Shadows и Depth of Field. Также будет предусмотрена запись вашего геймплея.

Патч 1.43 для Сыча в сети. Говорят он очень хорошо поднял производительность и качество в Quality Mode.
Качал вчера проверить. В портативе так не особо улучшилось, все равно плохо выглядит. Само поле именно без стен.

При включении quality mode в доке шрифты и отрисовка улучшаются, но сильно дропает фпс. Настолько, что чувствительно даже с одним ботом оффлайн. Перформанс мод стал играться шустрее, тем не менее. Народ кстати вовсю жалуется на невозможность обмена с другими игроками.

Progression 2.0
Leveling Updates
We’re removing the level cap of 75 and re-balancing the entire level-up curve. Levels will take a fixed amount of XP to earn instead of becoming exponentially longer as you level up.
You’ll be converted to a new level appropriate for how much you’ve played Rocket League in your career.
Leveling up grants you an Uncommon, Rare, Very Rare, or Import item (instead of these drops being randomly-timed as they are currently)
You can earn new Titles and Banners at level 100 and beyond to show off your status
XP Updates
As part of the leveling updates, XP is going to become Online-only
XP will now be based on Time Played in matches in addition to your Score.

“Rocket Pass”
Alongside the XP and leveling updates, we’ve also been working on a new system to give you new ways to earn items and make progress while playing Rocket League.
Our “Rocket Pass” system consists of multiple Tiers of earnable content. You increase your Tier by leveling up normally and you’ll unlock new, unique content as you go. Each “Rocket Pass” will last for a few months before it’s retired and a new Pass will take its place with new content to unlock.
The “Rocket Pass” has both Free and Premium tracks so everybody has something to work for. The Free track contains new cosmetic items as well as Decryptors and exclusive in-game Titles, while the Premium track will have a flat cost to unlock. You will be able to preview Premium track content before you buy the unlock to access it.
We are still developing the “Rocket Pass” system and we’ll have more details to share as we get closer to launch!
That’s just a quick look at a few of the major highlights that are coming up this summer. We’re really excited about all of the planned updates and hope you enjoy everything we have in the development pipeline. Thanks for playing!

Не смотря на то что графически игра выглядит слабее чем на старших платформах игра просто ОГОНЬ, настолько ОГОНЬ, что пожалуй куплю ее в Steam на Распродаже. Единственное расстраивает, что нужен нефиговый такой скилл, чтобы не то чтобы забить гол, а для того, чтобы ударить по мячу.

То есть хочешь сказать, что овладел многими финтами в том числе и в воздухе? Я еще понял после тренировки, что важно какой частью машины ты ударяешь по мячу будь то днище,крыша, бампер или колесо. Удар и направление будет разным.

Starting at 10:00 AM PST (1:00 PM EST/ 6:00 PM UTC) on December 10, Rocket Pass 2 will be available for FREE in Rocket League on all platforms with no download required. Just like our first Rocket Pass, we’re also offering a Premium Upgrade in exchange for 10 Keys (USD $9.99 or regional equivalent) that will include even more content, including the brand new Artemis Battle-Car!
We listened to your feedback about the first Rocket Pass and (as a result) have now increased the variety of items found in the Premium track. Additionally, items in the Premium Upgrade path are no longer tradeable for Tiers 1 thru 70, but 'Pro Tier' items (i.e. Tier 71 and above) and Free items CAN still be traded. We have also changed Pro Tier behavior so that they will ALWAYS drop as a 'Painted' item, while still carrying a 25% chance to drop as a 'Certified' item. Moreover, we've increased the base experience you earn from matches by 40% so that you can reach Pro Tiers faster and increased the weekly match maximum from 14 to 21. You can read more about all progression changes, including how 'Weekly Win' bonuses are awarded, RIGHT HERE.
Finally, we’re introducing a brand new Customization Item attribute to various Pro Tier items. The 'Special Edition' attribute reworks an item into an alternate version of itself that still supports Painted attribute colors. Several of the Pro Tier Wheels in Rocket Pass 2 -- ‘Gripstride HX,’ ‘Rocket Forge II’ and ‘Sprocket’ -- support the Special Edition attribute; any time you unlock one from a Pro Tier, you'll have a 25% chance to receive the Special Edition version.

Should you want to play with friends on other platforms before cross-platform parties release, however, you can! Just select "Play" from the "Main Menu," then "Private Match," followed by "Create" or "Join Private Match," and you're set from there.

Specifically, Tiers are now gained with a new Rocket League reward system, known as "Tier Points." Tier Points are earned by completing Challenges but they're also earned by gaining XP after Online Matches, similar to how it worked in Rocket Pass 1 and 2. How does it work together now? Well, in Rocket Pass 3, each Tier requires 10 Tier Points to advance to the next Tier. Challenges will be worth three, five, and eight Tier Points depending on the difficulty of the Challenge. In addition to the Tier Points you gain from completing Weekly Challenges, you can also Tier-Up from XP as mentioned above. Every time you gain an XP level, you'll receive 10 Tier Points.
Weekly Challenges must be completed during the week in which they are active. They will expire once new Challenges become active during the following week. Rocket Pass 3 will still track your progress for Premium Weekly Challenges even if you have not purchased Rocket Pass Premium, but you will only receive the Tier Points from Premium Challenges once Rocket Pass Premium has been purchased. If you purchase Rocket Pass Premium late into Rocket Pass 3, you will receive the Tier Points from completed Premium Challenges in expired weeks. However, you will not be able to complete uncompleted Challenges once they expire. The Challenge list will refresh each Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. PDT (5:00 p.m. UTC) throughout Rocket Pass 3.
ALL NEW ITEMS Rocket Pass 3 will feature 20+ items in the Free track, and 50+ additional items in the Rocket Pass Premium Track, including the all-new Guardian Battle-Car. Plus, there are Decryptors to earn on the Free track and a total of 10 Keys in Rocket Pass Premium. The Pro Tiers are back! Pro Tiers (i.e. past Tier 70) will grant Painted items from Rocket Pass 3, and will have a chance of being Certified or Special Edition. As always, rewards earned from the Pro Tiers in Rocket Pass 3 are tradable.
ROCKET PASS 3 AND CHALLENGES AT A GLANCE If you prefer bullet points, here's the TL;DR version of Rocket Pass 3 and Weekly Challenges: Rocket Pass Premium for Rocket Pass 3 is the same price as previous Rocket Passes (10 Keys).
Rocket Pass 3 will have both Free and Premium Tiers, just like Rocket Pass 1 and 2.
Rocket Pass 3 will have Weekly Challenges for both Free and Premium tracks. The Free track will have three Weekly Challenges and those with Rocket Pass Premium will get three additional Weekly Challenges. Challenges expire each Wednesday at 10 a.m. PDT (5:00 p.m. UTC) during Rocket Pass 3, and new challenges will become active at that time. Weekly Challenges must be completed within their active week. You cannot go back and complete expired challenges once their week has passed. Боль и печаль, но, чтобы продолжить играть, пришлось создать упрощённый аккаунт Epic Games. Без этого играть не пускает. Как только согласился, сразу на меня высыпались все наигранные вещи и обещанные новые «для ветеранов». Играется, вроде обыкновенно, только долго по меню ходить надо чтобы игру запустить. Дольше, чем раньше.
Дальше интереснее. Раньше я играл в Rocked League в Стиме и решил уж привязать и тот аккаунт, раз от Эпиков теперь не спрячешься. Привязал, зашёл в игру через Стим, получил кучу вещей, всё нормально.
Теперь у меня несколько рамок для аватара, которые дают за достижение уровней, несколько некоторых баннеров, какие-то другие вещи тоже задвоились. Причём не просто их стало 2 штуки одинаковых, а их два раза по одной штуке причём на вид и по описанию, вроде, одинаковые.
Это только мне повезло или у всех так? Кто-нибудь играет и пробовал привязать больше одной платформы? Расскажите, пожалуйста.

Ой, я уж подумал, что что-то новое… А просто красивый обзор старых режимов.
Вообще, Рокот (Rumble) интересно играть, со всеми этими шипами, крючками и вытягивающимися боксёрскими перчатками — к бильярду добавляется элемент неожиданности. У меня в этом режиме почему-то часто ранг выше получался, чем в режиме 3 на 3. Баскетбол я не осиливаю, хоккей мало играл, а вот Dropshot требует каких-то безумных полётов, если хочешь чётко забивать.
