Приятно узнать, что сделали как и обещали. В патче 1.06 подняли разрешение в доке до 1080p, улучшили фильтрацию текстур и увеличили производительность в сплит-скрине(и в портативном режиме тоже):

Подтверждена к выходу в 2018 году новая, с поддержкой кроссплея версия Minecraft для Сыча:

The Switch community will still be getting the new version of Minecraft with cross-platform multiplayer, but not until 2018. Nintendo has been a great partner and we’re really excited to fully bring Switch players into the fold, however, we need to make sure we deliver the best experience possible. So the new version of Minecraft will now be coming to Nintendo Switch next year. Xbox One, PC, mobile and Nintendo Switch, all playing multiplayer Minecraft together in 2018 - I'm getting emotional just thinking about it...

Added Norse Mythology Mash-up Pack.

Added 2nd Birthday Skin Pack (free download!)

Horses have had a makeover (parity with the new horses in the Java addition.)

Added Leather Horse Armour. It can be dyed like any other leather armour, and provides 1.5 Armour when equipped to a Horse.

Cauldrons can now hold Potions! You can empty Potions into Cauldrons, and scoop them out again with Glass Bottles. Be careful when mixing different types...

Using Arrows on a Cauldron filled with Potion will create Tipped Arrows of that type.

Adding dyes to a water-filled Cauldron will mix them together, and adding water after dyes will flush the colour out again.

Leather Armour and Leather Horse Armour can now be dyed in Cauldrons, or washed clean on any dyes if the Cauldron just has water in it.

Banners can also be washed in a clean-water Cauldron, which will remove the last layer that was added to it.

Added Baby Zombie Jockeys that can ride all kinds of mobs.

On higher difficulties, The Wither will now spawn some Wither Skeletons for protection.

Updated Villages to better suit their biomes.

Dispensers will now launch Fireworks in the direction they are facing.

Dispensers will now drop Mob Heads if placing them wouldn't spawn a mob.

Armour Stands now have arms, and can be posed manually or with Redstone power.

EDIT: Skin Packs that were previously absent have been added to the skin directory for previewing. Battle & Beasts 1, Battle & Beasts 2 and Festive (Classic) are now included for free.

Скоро в игре будет доступен для исследований подводный мир! Эту возможность принесет обновление Aquatic! Сначала оно выйдет для Xbox One, Switch, мобил и Windows 10, а потом и для всех остальных платформ, включая Wii U. Но для юшки это будет последнее "крупная" обновка.

As you’ve probably heard, the Update Aquatic is soon to bring all kinds of underwater fun to players on Java Edition and the new Bedrock Engine-based versions of Minecraft for Xbox One, Switch, mobile and Windows 10. But we won’t be leaving crafters on other consoles high and dry!

Arriving a little while after the initial launch, players on PlayStation 4 Edition, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PS Vita and Wii U will all receive the Update Aquatic. With the exception of PlayStation 4 Edition, this will mark the last big effort to keep those editions up to date with our newer versions of the game. Although we’d love to keep bringing new content to all our players forever, the older generation of consoles now make up less than 5% of our active players, so we’ve made the difficult decision to focus our efforts to support players where they play Minecraft the most and where we plan to add new features: on Java, PlayStation 4 Edition and the versions of Minecraft made with the Bedrock Engine on other consoles, mobile, and Windows 10.

Because players on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch will be able to upgrade to the new version of Minecraft, with all the Aquatic fun included, we won’t be adding the Update Aquatic features to the older Editions of the game that are still playable on these consoles. So it’s a good time to take the plunge with the new version! If you own the older version of Minecraft on Xbox One, you can grab the new version of Minecraft from the Xbox store for free. Switch players will receive a patch for the Update Aquatic once it releases and will also be able to install the new version of the game for free.

Ты правда считаешь, что разработчикам интересно, какие там у консоли фичи? Ну то есть если ты пишешь, что не понять, то, видимо, и правда думаешь, что главный повод выпустить серьезный апдейт — наличие у консоли микрофона и камер У Vita тоже это есть. И у 3DS. Ни одна из них не получит этот апдейт, потому что две консоли из списка — уже мертвые платформы (наравне с Xbox 360 и PS3), а ещё одна — просто технически ограничена.

Разработчикам абсолютно не интересны «фичи», если их некому продавать.

Странный тон у вас. Да, мне не понять, как можно запилить апдейт Aquatic для ВииЮ, но не запилить кроссплатформу. Следуя вашей логике, этого апдейта также ждать не следовало, ибо платформа мертва.
У Майнкрафта на 3DS нет даже онлайна, неудачное сравнение. А вот для ВииЮ он очень даже популярен, и туда к примеру издаются все скины и апдейты, и их даже покупают.
Поэтому мне и непонятна политика в плане лишения кроссплатформенности ввиду поддержки всего остального.

Хотя, если быть уж совсем дотошным, то такой шаг понятен, ибо грядущее обновление станет последним для WiiU, а допиливание до кроссплатформы обяжет постоянно подтягивать версию игры к актуальной.
