Игра в разработке уже почти 5 лет:

Turns out Ninjala has been in the works for quite some time. According to an interview with 4Gamer (translated by NintendoEverything), scenario creator / producer Kazuki Morishita and development director Takeshi Arakawa, the game's path to Switch started 5 years ago!

4G: When did you start planning this game?
Morishita: About five years ago. [I] wanted to make an action oriented battle game that both kids and grownups could enjoy. At that point [I] just happened to see a sports sword fighting show and thought, “Oh yeah, when I was a kid I loved sword fights and pretending to be a ninja,” and I realized that we could combine those two things.

4G: What made you decide to develop this for the Switch?
Morishita: We wanted to make a game where lots of people could gather and have fun. When we heard about the Switch we realized that the hardware was perfect for that type of game. A game where we could create something with true craftsmanship.

The trailer revealed that Ninjala will be available on Switch consoles worldwide, allowing players across the globe to face off against each other. Players can choose from a selection of colorful ninja kids and jump into eight-player free-for-all slugfests, or join forces with friends for 4v4 team fights. Test your inner ninja skills by morphing ‘Ninja-Gum’ into unique weapons on the fly, and use ninjutsu and super parkour mechanics to jet around the battlefield. A Nintendo Switch Online subscription will not be required to play matches online, and players can look forward to a variety of skins and emotes to give even more personality to their ninjas.
