Having spent a good 10 hours with the game today I feel I've seen enough to warrant a full review.

For those that don't know this is a port of the mobile version of this game. But there are zero microtransactions which is a good thing but you still see the mobile roots. The gameplay is pure arcade even with the assists turned off. I'm a decent Gran Turismo and Forza player and with said assists off and on the hardest difficulty I had no problems winning races. Once my cars got better upgrades it got even easier.

You have to earn credits to buy workshop stalls for your garage to upgrade your cars. Then you can only upgrade the cars to a certain point before you have to spend credits to upgrade the stalls so you can do more to the cars. See a pattern here? That reeks of a free to play system. They give you way more credits than you get in the mobile versions and got rid of the timers you'd have to wait out to upgrade the stalls or pay to unlock to skip the wait but the grind is still there. I haven't hit any roadblocks yet to stop progress but I'm getting 3 stars every race. Newcomers might might not have it as easy.

The graphics and camera angles leave much to be desired. It looks like a late ps2/launch ps3 game. The framerate is only 30fps and there is an occasional frame dip in docked mode. Also there is only 2 camera angles and the chase cam is WAY too close. You get used to it but it's not optimal.

Also they advertise over 400 races. While this is true keep in mind there is only 3 types of scenery. Beachside, Desert, and Forrest. It feels like your playing on a track editor because assets repeat alot. Also races barely last over 2 minutes but it's a port of a pickup and play mobile game.

Truth be told though it is a fun game. Just don't go in expecting more than it is. It's a simple pick up and play arcade racer with real cars. It reminds me of Hot Pursuit 2 on ps2 and that's not a bad thing.

- Improvement of car selection’s screen (especially in local multiplayer)
- Performance shop: players will be able to have 10 cars in their performance shop instead of 4
- Addition of a new rear-view camera
- Navigation on performance shop improved

Вторая часть будет реалистичней и красивей первой. Лучшая графика, физика:

We listened to what players had to say and aimed to create a far more realistic game. There is more subtlety, detail and individuality in the way the cars behave. Our car designers and engine programmers greatly improved our physics simulation in order to create sensations that would have been impossible in the first Gear.Club game.

To be honest, releasing the first Gear.Club Unlimited on the Switch was a leap into the unknown. We didn’t know if players would like our more motorsport-oriented approach to racing, on a console that is more used to playing cartoon/arcade-style games.

Their feedback was fantastic, however, which encouraged us to continue down this path. We therefore, decided to concentrate exclusively on this platform to get the most out of it and give Switch players the most advanced experience possible.
