Splatoon 3 has an in-game card game called Table Turf Battle, a 1v1 competitive mode with over 150 cards to collect.
Salmon Run Wave 3 is back (already announced).
You can fully customize your characters with emotes, incluiding a dab one.
Splatanas are a new weapon type in Splatoon 3. It Send blades of ink flying with the Splatana Wiper or perform a charged slash to devastate your enemies!
A total of 12 new and returning stages await you in Splatoon 3 at launch, with more to follow via free updates.
Story mode is back with the Return of The Mammalians
You can read Amiibos and swap at will with a special feature in-game. New amiibos are coming this holiday.
The game will receive Free Updates in some months of each other.
A big DLC is coming down the line for Splatoon 3.
New characters, Frye & Shiver (..and Big Man) were revealed. They're an incredibly popular trio who host the Splatsville news program Anarchy Splatcast. They'll provide the latest news and info on the current battle stages.
Splatfest will come back with three themes to choose.
Splatfests now have 2 halves. In the 1st half, teams compete in 4v4 Turf War battles. The 2nd half includes Tricolor Turf War, where 3 teams fight at the same time! The top team will face a pincer attack from 2 players on the 2nd place team & 2 players on the 3rd place team!

Для Splatoon 3 создан новый сервер NPLN для поддержки сетевых функций, старый NEX уже не удовлетворял потребностям игры:

Nintendo is using NPLN, a new in-house server system, for Splatoon 3.

Many of the new Lobby features take advantage of NPLN. They would be more difficult or impossible to add with the old system, NEX.

Note that in-game netcode is likely still peer-to-peer (pia).
