Судя по тому что показали, сейчас и показать нечего Радует конечно, что номерная часть.

Отлично, очень хорошо, что Atlus не стали превращаться в Square Enix, Bandai Namco или Capcom и что SMT останется эксклюзивом для консолей Nintendo.

Тогда тебя ждёт не только SMT IV, но и SMT IV Apocalypse, а ещё Strange Journey.

- first Shin Megami Tensei title was released in October, 25 years ago
- the announcement of SMTV was to show that the Shin Megami Tensei series will continue, and celebrate the series' history
- the dev team is looking to reexamine the “characteristics of the era”
- there are many people frustrated by troubles both at home and abroad, and the devs want to make a game to sympathize with such an era
- the keywords “Shekinah Glory,” which appeared in the trailer, literally translate to “miracle of God”
- when you actually play it and have these keywords in your head, the devs think you will be able to feel their true meaning
- Shinagawa Station is one spot where modern day Tokyo is well represented
- this is the first time Atlus is using Unreal Engine 4
- it seems the use of this engine has made things much easier for the dev team
- the team loves that Switch is high-def, but also lets you take your game anywhere you go
- classic elements like demon fusion will of course be included, and new elements are being considered
- the goal is to deliver a hybrid game that combines the profound appeal of Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne and the popular training elements of Shin Megami Tensei IV
- we'll have to wait awhile longer to see the game released

Там сюжет будет значительно расширен, персонажей новых завезут. Поэтому смысл играть есть, особенно если уже подзабыл что там к чему.

Я бы не переигрывал, если так. Всё-таки игра не на 10-15 часов.

В Overclocked может и 1 глава была, но у трех персонажей, так что считай 3, притом таких достаточно больших по сравнению с другими главами, да и они были достаточно интересные, я бы не против был в принципе. Ну и ты не забывай про сервайвера 2-ого, там достаточно много добавили (правда я так и не прошел новую сюжетку и ограничился старой....).

Игра еще конечно на ранней стадии разработки, но разрабы обещают не облажаться с этой номерной частью, выходящей после долгого перерыва на стационаре:

Following the intriguing reveal of Shin Megami Tensei V, many have been wondering about what kind of development progress there has been on the game, and when we’ll hear more.

Today, as part of a massive New Year group interview, the Japanese website 4Gamer got an answer from Shin Megami Tensei series Producer Kazuyuki Yamai.

Yamai-san explains that this is the first time on a long time that a numbered Shin Megami Tensei game gets released on home consoles, so he aims to develop it properly, without making any compromise.

Currently, details are being filled up, art is being created, and the process is in the “scrap and build” phase, iterating the gameplay on the actual console. We also hear that he’d like to have a formal reveal as soon as possible, and he would be pleased if fans could be patient for a while.

For those unfamiliar with the “scrap and build” expression, it’s actually rather typical of Japan. It’s a very relevant local concept for architecture and urban development: instead of renovating buildings, the Japanese often prefer to knocking them down and build completely new ones on the land. Basically, the team is in a phase of iteration and trial and error. It definitely fits the “no compromise” policy mentioned by Yamai-san.

Shin Megami Tensei V doesn’t have a release window or even a year at the moment, but we do know that it has been announced exclusively for the Nintendo Switch and that it will be released in the west.

Yamai: Yes. At the start, the production of this project only had a few people at its core, with more and more people gradually becoming involved. Although this number is still increasing, I feel that the production staff has come together considerably to a point—and reaching a milestone—where we can say we’ve started full-scale development.

In December 2017, Yamai had stated that the development of Shin Megami Tensei V was in a “scrap-and-build phase.”

- the goal is to make SMT V a game that can be enjoyed be all generations, while also being appealing to current gamers

- SMT asks the player if they really want to save the world, and it’s a “life simulator” RPG
- they are trying to make SMT V a game that people at the end of the 2010’s can empathize with
- SMT V will be representing new values

- Yamai also reveals that Atlus is always looking for opportunities to port or remake Shin Megamu Tensei: Nocturne (and more precisely the Maniax version)
- does not specify for which platform it would be: not surprising since it doesn’t look like anything has been greenlit

Чо-то тормозят разрабы, проблемы при имплементации UE4 в игру. Инфа будет позднее, чем ожидалось:

- Yamai would be happy if fans can hang in there just a tad longer to get some new info

Японский геймдев в какой-то глубокой опе. Тысячи семей долгие годы кормятся на каком-то сверхдорогом долгострое типа FFXV который на выходе оказывается худшей FF за всю историю серии, в тоже самое время авторы Tales не могут в 60FPS и это когда их игра выглядит как... И, кстати, жалобы на Unreal Engine, я уже тоже где-то видел. Вроде авторы долгостройного порта DQXI обвиняли UE. Никто в мире на него не жалуется. Школьники на нём игры делают. Всех всё устраивает. Только вот у японцев вечно какие-то проблемы.
