WOW. Looks like we already got some great progress on a 2.5 exploit. The author, PSPlayer1001, says:

Here is a mirror to the hack progress movie AND an EBOOT to try this hack on your own 2.5 PSP!

"Incuded are 2 movies 1 shows my software as 2.5. And the other shows My psp view the included EBOOT and lock up because the EBOOT contains the overflow.tif from the MPH downgrader. After it locked up I cut the power and rebooted. My psp worked fine after I rebooted it. No downgrade yet from this. but the EBOOT included bypasses the TIF patch because the psp TIF patch does not affect the EBOOT handler."

The movies are legit, I think this guy might be on to something.

Во, как я и думал, методом полной перешивы хаченной прошивы. Но вот то, что им удалось сделать decrypted соневской прошивы, я полностью не уверен. Либо им ее кто-то дал незашифрованную или у них очень мощные компы есть, просто очень богатые хацкеры, короче, если не врут, то это для сони полная жопа.

За мат в мессаге рид онли на неделю.

Yoshihiro of SonyXTeam have released a new firmware launcher for the PSP, SXT BFM v1.00. This firmware launcher allows users to load firmware versions 1.00, 1.50, 1.52, 2.00, 2.01 and 2.50. (Note that 2.00 and higher must be decrypted to load first.) New changes in this version include:

- Loads 2.00 and higher firmwares (decrypted only)
- New module loading method uses drive reallocations by un-mounting flash0 and flash1 and mount it again to the MS drive
- More stable than the previous version.
- Faster to load.
- No need to patch all of the firmware modules.
- A lot more ram freed.
- Can run eboots !
- The firmware believes ms0 is flash0.
- Sources included !!!

Так я не понял, есть ли шанс что я куплю еще одну PSP через пол года с какой нибудь новейшей прошивкой (вероятно PSP с 1.5 и 2.0 нвйти будет сложно) и смогу изменить её под 1.5 ? Или лудше мне срочно искать деньги на покупку с 1.5 или 2.0?

In a post by jimparis at the ps2dev forums, he lets the public know about the possibility of running homebrew on PSP firmware versions 2.01, 2.50 and maybe 2.60. The running of homebrew would be done by modifying Edison Carter’s Cheat Device (a GTA: Liberty City Stories savegame cheating program,) and then using a program to load the eboots like Fanjita’s Eboot Loader.

Now he's taken the next step and accomplished the unthinkable, running homebrew on 2.60 Firmware! Thanks to his incredible efforts, it is now possible to play homebrew on your PSP no matter what firmware it has. This truly is a historic moment in the PSP Community, and we here at PSPUpdates are thrilled to bring you this exclusive release that you won't find anywhere else: Tetris on 2.60 Firmware.

This has been confirmed to work on PSP firmware version 2.01, 2.50, and 2.60 US

Fanjita just keeps on crackin' Sony's efforts to keep us from our homebrew! He started with creating one of the first ever homebrew on firmware 2.00, then moved on to create his 2.0 eboot loader which enables about 85% of PSP homebrew to work on 2.00, then brought us GTA Hello World savegame binary loader which opened the doors to 2.01+ homebrew. Now today we are proud to release the first homebrew game on firmware 2.60!

To install:

Unzip the contents of this package into the /psp/savedata folder on your memory stick. Note that if you have an existing savegame that uses slot 5, then this will be overwritten by the Tetris savegame.

To use:

Start up GTA as normal. When it has loaded, select "Load Game", select the Tetris savegame and confirm the load as normal. After a short delay, the Tetris game should start.

To quit the game, you will need to hold your power button for 10 seconds. The HOME button looks like it might work, but it doesn't, yet.

Note that this version might be more stable than the 2.50 Tetris released on 1/9/06

Никогда не выйдет. Это експлоит в save file от GTA, позволяет запустить в user mode небольшие програмки до 64Kb. Для downgrade это не прокатит. Тем более, что сам автор этого творения заявляет, что он будет делать только поддержку homebrew и ничего более (ни даунгрейдов, ни, тем более, umd loader-ов)

Может и сделают а может и нет. В зависимости от хакера. К примеру фатима зайдите на его сайт там нет ничего нового. Прикрыли его контору. Либо его купила сони за ООООООЧЧЕНЬЬ большие денги. Либо он сам прекратил разработки так как он сам заявлял о том, что он ПРОТИВ пиратства. Остаётся только SPANISH-хакеры. Или ещё кто-нибудь. ВОТ ТАК
